Will Aid

Will Aid

Will Aid is an annual campaign that takes place every November. Participating solicitors offer some of their time to write basic wills, waiving their usual fee and instead invite clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.

That money is divided between the nine partner charities. Like many charities, the COVID-19 outbreak has had a devastating impact on their finances, with events and shops having to be cancelled and closed, which will have a detrimental impact on their ability to supporting the vulnerable people and communities they work with.

You can help them by taking part in Will Aid.

Since Will Aid launched in 1988, we have raised more than £21 million for these charities. This has allowed them to continue the work they do to change lives for the better, here in the UK and around the world.

Demand for wills is high year on year but in 2020 we are expecting unprecedented interest following the COVID-19 outbreak which has prompted a surge in the number of people looking to get their paperwork in order to protect their loved ones. To meet this demand and continue to raise vital funds for our partner charities, we need more solicitors like to sign up and take part in this year’s campaign.

Will Aid is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your community. But it is also beneficial in other ways. Not only does it allow you to meet new clients, many of whom need additional work over and above a basic will, it can also result in positive local publicity for your firm.
