Obituary: Stephen Savage 1952 – 2020

It is with great sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of our dear colleague, Stephen Savage.

Admitted to the roll in 1976, Stephen spent much of his early career rising through the ranks to become a Partner at Flint, Bishop and Barnett. Stephen was Head of Civil Litigation at Anderson Partnership, having joined them from Shacklocks in 2009.

A more hardworking and gracious solicitor of the Profession’s old guard you would struggle to find. He was an individual who went over and above for both clients of the Firm and, for those who benefited from his pro bono work out in the community.

When he did eventually manage to put down his files, he could be found either on the golf course or at Pride Park supporting his beloved Derby County.

Stephen had no plans to retire and was as busy as ever when the news was received. He will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune to know him.

We offer our sincere condolences to Stephen’s family and those nearest to him.
